A great day trip while staying in Holyrood is a one day atv adventure tour. You could start from your home away from home at Comerford's Ocean View Suites which has quick and easy access to the Newfoundland Trailway and Transcanada Trail. Heading West towards Avondale you will ride over tresled rivers, ride by ponds and see some magnificent nature and scenery.
Upon arriving in Avondale on the old railway line like so many before, you can visit a train display and Old train station community museum. Have Lunch at the Express Diner located in the train display. Have a ride on the mini train on some of the last remaining railway tracks in Newfoundland. Next you can hike to a waterfalls and have a swim in the river, or fish in the local ponds or salmon rivers.
Then back to Holyrood after a fun filled day of touring around on an atv adventure
